I got a sneak peek inside Stephenville’s newest retailer, Peachy Keen Boutique, set to open today at the former Cheerful Heart location.

And it’s fabulous.

Owners Mike and Aly Kelly are no strangers to the retail industry or Stephenville.

Mike works for TechnipFMC and Aly worked for years as the general manager of all Cheerful Heart locations.

I sat down with the couple at Peachy Keen on Sunday to talk about their latest venture and what prompted them to step into Stephenville’s retail industry.

“Mike and I have always wanted to have a business in Stephenville,” Aly told Beneath the Surface News. “We have a lot of friends here and this is something I can do with my family.”

Peachy Keen will open its doors for the first time at 10 a.m. today with sweet deals and an end-of-day-giveaway. (You don’t have to be present to win.)

Peachy Keen is located at 2004 W. Swan Street, where Cheerful Heart was located.

The newly-renovated boutique has an expanded clothing line for women that includes brands like Spanx, Free People, Free People Movement (athleisure), Sadie and Sage, Judy Blue, Risen, Hidden, Cello and Z Supply.

“We are really focusing on clothing and giftables,” Aly said.

You will also find Kendra Scott jewelry, Farmhouse Fresh products, home décor and a baby/children’s section.

The gourmet food side caters to men with items like grilling utensils, RTIC mugs and ice chests and Meat Church BBQ Rub, the official grilling spice of the Dallas Cowboys.

Peachy Keen’s grand opening celebration is set for Saturday, Nov. 2. There will be more on that later, but mark your calendar.

“We will have food samples, frozen cocktails, product vendors and lots of giveaways that day,” Aly said. “It’s the first day of deer season, so why the husbands are away, the wives can play.”
