New consultant with the SBDC to help business owners with latest round of Covid relief programs.

Updated: Feb 19, 2021

Pam Hoke

Pam Hoke is the new CARES team consultant with the Small Business Development Center at Tarleton State University.

“I was hired by the Small Business Administration to provide support to small businesses with the CARES Act for assistance with loan support with the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL),” Pam told Beneath the Surface News.

The PPP and EIDL are part of the government’s new Covid-19 relief bill signed on Dec. 27.

“I believe that small business owners in our area would appreciate the help since our service to them is free,” Pam said.

She said the SBDC will help business owners fill out forms for second draw of the PPP as well as forgiveness forms from the initial round.

“We have been working frantically to get this information out to people so they know help is available,” she said. “There are a couple of things on the forms that you really have to watch. It is governmentally regulated so everything has to be correct.”
