New business shoots to empower women through photography.

By SARA VANDEN BERGE

One local woman is using a camera lens to help women overcome negative body issues and increase their confidence.

Jennifer Sieperda, a budding professional photographer who picked up the hobby about a year ago, is set to open a new studio called Bodacious Boudoir by JS.

“Boudoir photos are about empowering women; making them feel beautiful about who they are now because we all struggle with self-image issues and confidence,” Jennifer told BTS News.

The studio is located at 1917 W. Washington Street suite 7 in Stephenville (across from the Tarleton baseball fields).

Jennifer is celebrating her grand opening on Friday, June 12, with all-day mini sessions and mimosas followed by a launch party from 6-10 p.m.

Full-day sessions take 4-5 hours and include professional hair and makeup and a chance to see the photos that same day.

“This is really a day of pampering; a day just for them,” she said. “We play their favorite music and drink mimosas; it’s an amazing experience.

“When the women see their photos, they all say, ‘Oh my gosh! I can’t believe that’s me.’”
