The news just keeps getting better.

Buckle, a national retailer that sells trendy clothing for men and women, is coming to Stephenville’s new power center, Washington Commons.

“SEDA continues to welcome solid retailers into the market as they help reduce the amount of leakage into other communities,” Jeff Sandford, executive director of the Stephenville Economic Development Authority, told Beneath the Surface News. “In meeting with the leadership team at Buckle, we were impressed with their commitment to corporate social responsibility, as well as their excitement over being a part of Stephenville’s continued growth.”

Buckle will join Hobby Lobby, Old Navy, Ross, T.J. Maxx, Ulta Beauty, Five Below and Shoe Show in the largest retail development project in the city’s history, which includes more than 150,000 square feet of retail space expected to open in the first quarter of 2022.

So there you go, Stephenville!

My sources tell me I could have another big announcement as soon as next week.

Stay tuned!
