Moo-La Fest and those hot air balloons are soaring back to Stephenville. (And so is that carnival!)
Updated: May 23, 2022
One of the area’s most popular summer events is soaring back to Stephenville in June.
Moo-La Fest will be held Thursday, June 2, through Saturday, June 4, at Stephenville City Park, and the incredibly popular hot air balloons are coming with it.
The event kicks off Thursday and will continue on Friday with a carnival, evening balloon glow and concert in the park.
Michaela Bierman is the new manager of the city’s Tourism and Visitors Bureau and said this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.
“We are still finalizing the plans for this year’s Moo-La Fest, but residents can expect another great event,” she said.
The fun will kick into high gear early Saturday with the ascension of hot air balloons at dawn.
By noon, food trucks, vendors and live entertainment will be in full swing.
Enjoy a game of mini golf, compete in the cornhole tournament, take a tethered hot air balloon ride and learn all about the dairy industry at the Southwest Dairy Farmers’ mobile classroom.
Another concert in the park will start at 7:30 p.m. followed by the final balloon glow.
This is the city’s third year to host Moo-La Fest.
The first took place in 2019, but was sidelined in 2020, then re-emerged in 2021.
