Say hi to Wiggles

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Wiggles, a three to four-year-old terrier mix.

“He may only weigh around 20 pounds, but don't let his size fool you,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.

“He's got the heart of a pit bull and enough spirit to fill a whole house.”

Wiggles loves car rides, being close to his favorite people and living life full speed ahead.

He can be a little unsure of strangers at first and needs a patient adopter willing to give him time to build trust.

Once you're in his circle, though, you'll have a loyal little sidekick for life.

Wiggles would do best as the only pet in the home and needs a secure fenced yard since this adventurous guy likes to test escape routes.

He's also believed to be potty trained and would thrive in a home where someone can help him work through his separation anxiety and keep him feeling safe and loved.

Wiggles is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and ready to find his perfect match.

Katy is a two to three-year-old female cat found as a stray and never reclaimed.

“Shelter life has been a big adjustment for her, and while she may greet you with a hiss or two, she hasn't shown any aggression,” Serena said.

“She's just scared and unsure right now.”

Katy prefers her space for the moment and needs patience, understanding and a calm home.

This tidy girl keeps her kennel nice and clean and uses the litter box well.

She would do best with someone willing to let her settle in at her own pace and help her learn that people can be trusted again.

She is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
