Man with lengthy criminal history taken into custody after stabbing.
A Meridian man was taken into custody Tuesday night in connection with a stabbing in the 200 block of S. Devine Street in Stephenville.
Domingo Estrada was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is being held at the Erath County Jail.
Bond has not yet been set.
A press release from the Stephenville Police Department states that officers responded to a disturbance about 8:30 p.m.
“Officers located an adult male who had sustained injuries as a result of the incident,” the release states.
“The victim was transported by air to a Fort Worth-area hospital for further treatment.”
This remains an active investigation.
Estrada has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2007 when he was arrested for driving under the influence.
He has also been charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, assault of a public servant and burglary of a habitation.
