Man accused of sexual assault, possessing child porn indicted by Erath County grand jury.
An Erath County grand jury has indicted 46-year-old Arron Spoede on possession of child pornography and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The Stephenville man was arrested in September for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage girl and recording the act on his cell phone.
According to the official complaint obtained by Beneath the Surface News, a woman contacted the Erath County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 13 to make an outcry of sexual assault against Spoede.
The woman, identified as “Jane” in the complaint, told investigators that Spoede began sexually assaulting her when she was 12 and the abuse continued until 2022.
He was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Conway, Arkansas and later extradited back to Erath County. He is being held on an $80,000 bond.
Authorities seized Spoede’s cell phone and it was sent to the U.S. Secret Service for forensic analysis, which showed him having sex with Jane and other unidentified women, the complaint states.
One of those videos included Jane when she was only 13 or 14 years old.
