Tarleton State University’s Town and Gown Breakfast, commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birth, is set for 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, in the dining hall on the Stephenville campus.
The event will feature remarks from university President Dr. James Hurley, performances by Tarleton’s Chamber Choir and speeches by Lamonte Jackson and Jashon Titus, winners of the last two years’ MLK speech competition.

Doors open at 6:45 a.m. and the program begins at 7:15. Parking will be in lot P6 near the Fine Arts Building.
The celebration is hosted by the Division of Student Engagement and Success and the Division of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and International Programs.
