Say hi to Apollo.
Say hi to Apollo.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Apollo, a four to five-year-old male with a big heart and an even bigger smile.

“This happy boy truly loves everyone he meets,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.

“He's friendly with dogs, strangers and kids and does well with cats, although he can overly excited and may get right up in their face.”

Apollo hasn't been around livestock, but he is fully house and potty trained, making him an easy addition to any home.

“He walks beautifully on a leash and rides well in the car and is convinced that the passenger seat was made just for him,” Serena said.

Apollo already knows how to sit, stay, lay down and paw and he can climb a short chain-link fence, so he'll need secure fencing if left outside.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Blitzen is a two to three-year-old male cat who arrived at the shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed.

He's more than ready to be someone's cherished companion,” Serena said.

“This gentle, affectionate guy loves head scratches and is happiest when curled up in a cozy bed, soaking in all the comfort and attention he can get.”
