“The best kind of friendships are lady friendships where you aggressively believe in each other, defend each other and think the other deserves the world.” – unknown

By SARA VANDEN BERGE

I’ve always surrounded myself with a small but strong group of women whose friendship is fierce.

By that I mean the kind of women who fight hard for your happiness, family and success. They want you to win, and when you don’t, you look up and they are still standing right next to you.

Who cares that our feet got dirty? We were drinking champagne in the middle of the street.

It’s rare, I know, but I’ve been lucky enough to establish some of those friendships throughout my life, and local photographer Kimmie McKinney captured a snapshot of that during a recent photo shoot.

The group of women I spend a lot of time with and consider to be some of my closest friends met at Hearsay Wine Bar one recent evening because, let’s face it, that’s where we always meet.

We opened a bottle of champagne and sat and walked and laughed and poured and posed while Kimmie took what seemed like a gazillion photos.

It was incredibly fun.

The Champagne Gang.

Kimmie got the pictures back to us the next week and we all agree that she captured our love for each other and that fierce friendship I am so thankful for; one I hope all women are able to find.

So ladies, get your tribe together and call Kimmie McKinney Photography to schedule a “friends” photo shoot.

I promise you will have a ball just like we did!
