One of Stephenville’s favorite chefs, Lori Lesley, is inviting kids to take part in an event she is calling “The Kids Table.”

Lesley, owner of Rollin’ the Dough and Casseroles-to-Go, said the hands-on experience will teach kids basic culinary skills and meal prep.

“Each student will learn a recipe for a snack, meal and dessert,” she said. “I’m excited. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time.”

The students will bring home a chef’s hat and apron, recipe cards and ingredients for each of the recipes they learn.

Sessions will be divided into age groups on June 10 and 11.

The “Little Chef” session for kids 6-8 will be held from 10 a.m. – noon.

The “Junior Chef” for kids 9-12 will be held from 3-5 p.m.

Cost is $65 per student and the deadline to sign up is June 1.

Seats, however, are going fast.
