‘Life is like a box of chocolates’ and nothing tastes more like Christmas than See’s Candies.

Updated: Nov 21, 2020

Our family loves this box of Assorted Chocolates. The ones with the sprinkles are Bordeaux and they are my favorite!

I do recognize the irony of writing about sugary treats whilst on a diet.

But you have to understand: This is no ordinary chocolate.

See’s Candies has always been a mecca for chocolate lovers and our family can’t do Christmas without it.

See’s was a staple in California malls while I was growing up, but the only time we ever entered the store was to buy a box or three of chocolates for the holidays (except when they offered free samples on the weekends).

Much to our chagrin, we realized See’s wasn’t a thing in Texas during our first Christmas in the Lone Star State.

But shipping saved our lives and every year we place a gigantic order to get our family fix.

My mom gets a box of the Nuts & Chews. My father-in-law likes the Assorted Chocolates. My sister-in-law has to have a Scotchmallow and I have one Bordeaux bar all to myself.

(My family knows not to even ask for a nibble because I don’t share.)

If you are looking for a special holiday treat, you should try a box.

And there isn’t a better time than now to place an order and raise money for the Stephenville Christian School.

Students are selling a limited selection of See’s Candies through Dec. 4 and the school gets a portion of the proceeds.

This cute "winter wonderland" box makes perfect stocking stuffers.

You won’t be able to access all of the company’s delights, but you can certainly get a nice selection of assorted chocolates, peppermints, lollypops, truffles, peanut brittle, walnut bars and toffee.

If you are a first-time taster, get a box of the Assorted Chocolates. You can’t go wrong.

Merry Christmas and you’re welcome!
