One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Wednesday, a six to seven-year-old shepherd/hound mix.
“Wednesday is a gentle, loving soul who's been through a lot, but still has so much love to give,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“She was surrendered with four other dogs through no fault of their own, and she's ready to start her next chapter with a family who will treasure her.”
Wednesday's foster family describes her as "an absolute sweetheart" who loves nothing more than to cuddle.
She's polite and patient, taking treats gently, and she enjoys bath time.
She does well on a leash and in a crate and is spayed, partially vaccinated, potty trained, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
“Any family would be lucky to have this gentle, affectionate girl by their side,” Serena said.
“If you're looking for a loyal companion who will love you endlessly, Wednesday is waiting for you.”
Riley is a five to six-month-old male kitten.
“He came to us with his siblings,” Serena said.
“When they arrived, they were battling URls, ringworm and a flea infestation, but this tough little guy is now healthy, happy and ready for his forever home.”

Riley is the most outgoing of his litter, always ready to pounce on a toy (or anything that moves).
He's playful, energetic and full of kitten mischief, but he's also a real sweetheart that adores snuggles, ear scratches and making biscuits.
