If you can belt out a tune, now’s your chance to showcase your talent.
Entries are now being accepted for A Voice for Habitat, a talent competition benefiting Erath County Habitat for Humanity.
The competition gives solo artists and groups the exposure they need to break into the music scene with opportunities to meet casting directors, talent scouts, magazine writers and professional musicians.
This year’s judges include Shayne Hollinger, Erin Wilde and Mark Phillips.
Board president Stacy Morrison told Beneath the Surface News that contestants must first fill out an online application and submit a video before the Oct. 26 deadline.

Live semi-final auditions will take place on Nov. 15 at Tarleton’s workshop theater.
The first place winner will receive a grand prize package that includes $1,000, a fully-mastered single recording and one-hour consultation with a casting company.
The runner up will receive $300 and the winner of the People’s Choice will get $500.
It’s an exciting opportunity and tickets to watch the final show on Jan. 24, 2026 at the Tarleton State University ballrooms will go on sale soon.
