'I am thankful.' David Martin wins runoff in race for Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2.
Erath County residents have decided that David Martin will become the next Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, a position formerly held by the late judge Bart Greenway.
Martin won Tuesday’s runoff with 413 votes to opponent Chris Evans’ 228.
“It feels good,” Martin told Beneath the Surface News moments after the final count was released. “If it wasn’t for all of my family and supporters, this would not have happened.
"There are a lot of great people in precinct 2 that have supported me from the start and I am thankful for all of them.”
