Â
With the holidays upon us, I ordered ingredients to whip up one of our favorite holiday appetizers that’s the perfect crowd-pleasing dish.
I stumbled upon this recipe a couple of years ago, and now it’s a staple at holiday gatherings.
I made a big crockpot of these festive cranberry meatballs for a recent Friendsgiving and they were gobbled up fast!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED
1 can (14 ounces) jellied cranberry sauce
1 bottle (12 ounces) chili sauce
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 package (32 ounces) frozen fully cooked home-style meatballs, thawed. (I used pre-made-meatballs purchased from HEB.)
HOW TO MAKE IT
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients (except meatballs) and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Place meatballs in crockpot and cover with sauce; cook on low for 3-4 hours.
I sprinkled the top with parsley flakes to add some green prettiness.
Enjoy!
