High-energy dog with aggressive tendencies needs a home without children.

Coco

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is a dog that is showing some aggression and comes with a warning: The home he lives in should not include small children.

ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News that Coco, a four or five-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier, arrived at the shelter with two other dogs.

“She is very aggressive with dogs she doesn't know and she doesn’t like cats,” Serena said. “She loves people, but probably shouldn't be in a home with small children.”

Coco has a lot of energy and needs work on a leash.

She is heart worm negative and is microchipped. Earth is a three or four-year-old tuxedo cat that also needs a new home.

“He is a friendly boy that is always very happy to get attention,” Serena said. “He does well with other cats and is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and litter box trained.”

If you would like to meet Coco, Tuxedo or the other 74 dogs and 53 cats that are up for adoption, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
