Probably like you, the first thing I do after rolling out of bed every morning is to stumble my way to the coffeepot, which is set to percolate at precisely 5:15.

I’m not one of those coffee people who drink it all day long. I’m a two-cupper-in-the morning-only kind of gal, but those two cups are really important to getting my day off to a good start.

I like my coffee strong and smooth.

(Notice that I am refraining from the obligatory joke where I say “like my men,” but I just can’t do it. I know you expected it though.)

I recently discovered the Hani brand at Veldhuizen Cheese where the strong smell of really good coffee filled the air.

Stuart poured me a cup made by the Hani Coffee Co., which the family drinks on the daily, and I became an instant fan.

Stuart is also a coffee snob and told me his daughter discovered Hani while on a mission trip several years ago. They have been brewing it ever since.

The cool thing, however, is that Hani’s mission goes beyond just making great coffee. They give back to small coffee growing communities and support regional farming.
