Tarleton State University supporters are encouraged to donate to the on-campus causes and entities they care about most during the eighth annual Tarleton Giving Day on Tuesday, March 7.
Alumni, faculty, staff and friends may give to a favorite Tarleton academic program, student activity or scholarship here.
“Since 1899 when Tarleton Texans come together for a purpose, we have impact,” said Anthony Vidmar, executive director of the Tarleton State University Foundation. “One of the best parts about Tarleton Giving Day is that every gift, no matter what the size, has the power to make an impact on our students, our university and our community.”
Donations can be made online from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday and in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Administration Building.
Tarleton President James and First Lady Kindall Hurley will donate $5,000 to the academic college or division that raises the most dollars, $3,000 to the second-place organization and $2,000 to third place.
The Tarleton State University Foundation will also donate $10,000, divided
among the three academic colleges or divisions with the most donors — $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place and $2,000 for third.
More than 300 donors gave more than $200,000 for university colleges and programs during Giving Day 2022.
“It all started with a philanthropic gift from John Tarleton,” Vidmar said. “Let’s keep it going.”
