Heartbreaker: This cat has had a rough life, but his amazing attitude make him very adoptable.

Snowflake

This week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society include Snowflake, a one to two-year-old male domestic shorthair cat, that has had a rough go of it.

“He was adopted from us and almost starved to death by his adopter,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “When he came back, it took us awhile to get him healthy again.

“His second adopter gave him away and he ended up on the streets and was hit by a car. He has had a rough life, but he has an amazing attitude.”

Snowflake is litter box trained and microchipped.

Boog

Boog is a 10 -month-old ale heeler mix that also needs a new home.

“He is a very sweet boy that loves attention,” Serena said.

Boog is dog friendly and housebroken, but does have separation anxiety and can be destructive when left alone.

“Boog listens well, but gets stressed when he is disciplined, so he will require patience,” Serena said. “He may benefit from having another dog in the house to show him the ropes. He has finished his puppy shots and is microchipped.”

You can meet Snowflake, Boog and the other 66 dogs and 80 cats up for adoption by stopping at the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
