Tarleton State University’s Erath Engaged and the recently created Research Center for Rural Travel and Tourism will host a free “Health Hazards Abroad” travel summit at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 30.
The virtual summit will help participants learn about items to avoid packing for their return to the United States.

The event opens begin with “Health Concerns by Country: Exploring Your Destination,” followed by an interactive travel trivia challenge.
Also featured are “Health Checklist for Traveling Abroad” and a “Border Patrol Simulation” for travelers headed back to the United States via air or cruise ship.
During the final presentation, “Travel Resource Sharing: Budget Travel, Travel Tips, and More,” participants will have the opportunity to share their own travel tips and resources.
