Have a holly jolly Christmas at this festive annual event happening in downtown Stephenville.

One of the city’s most festive events of the season – Holly Jolly Christmas – is coming to town on Monday, Dec. 12.
The annual event, sponsored by the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce and city, will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the downtown square and plaza.
“We invite everyone to come downtown and enjoy a fun evening of Christmas festivities making special memories with family and friends!” Chamber president July Danley told Beneath the Surface News. “The Chamber wants to extend a huge thanks to our generous sponsors, numerous non-profits providing activities, amazing volunteers and fabulous city of Stephenville staff for helping us bring this holiday festival to the community.”
The fun will include pictures with Santa, a live Nativity, horse-drawn carriage rides, petting zoo, letters to Santa, cookie decorating, Christmas crafts, games and holiday gift vendors.
This year’s performances include:
Studio 6:14 Dance: 6:15-6:45 p.m.
Red Hat Steppers: 6:50-7:10 p.m.
Stephenville Dance Center: 7:15-7:50 p.m.
Crazy Christmas Family Game Show: 8-8:30 p.m.
Stephenville High School’s “In the Mix” choir will be caroling in the courthouse at 6:45 and 7:15 p.m.
Come hungry because there will be chili, hot dogs, tamales, funnel cakes, nachos, popcorn and holiday treats. And don’t worry about the chilly weather; you can stay warm with hot chocolate, wassail and cider.
