Hard Eight BBQ, the family-owned Texas barbecue company known for its live mesquite-fired pits and southern hospitality, is proud to announce a new collaboration with Bass Pro Shops that will kick off with a brand-new in-store dining experience at The Rim in San Antonio next fall.

“We could not be prouder or more excited for this opportunity to head down south,” owner of Hard Eight BBQ Vicki Nivens said.

“We’ve been eyeing the San Antonio area for many years, and I feel confident this is a great fit. We’ve been wanting to expand from the DFW Metroplex, and now is the perfect time.

"We are lucky to have such an amazing team, and working alongside Bass Pro Shops has been nothing short of a blessing.”

Located in the heart of The Rim entertainment district, Bass Pro Shops originally opened its San Antonio location in October 2006 and quickly became a favorite among locals and visitors.

This newest venture marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between two brands rooted in family tradition, shared values and a love of the outdoors.

Guests visiting Bass Pro Shops at The Rim can expect the full Hard Eight experience: meats cooked over mesquite wood coals, served directly from the pit by friendly pitmasters, in an atmosphere that celebrates the rugged charm of Texas.

This collaboration will introduce Hard Eight’s legendary brisket, ribs, jalapeño sausage, turkey, pork chops and more to a new audience of outdoor enthusiasts and barbecue lovers, with the San Antonio location planned as the first of several future collaborations with Bass Pro Shops.

“Working with Bass Pro Shops is an incredible privilege for us at Hard Eight BBQ.

"Our values are deeply aligned, making this collaboration a natural fit. As an outdoorsman myself, it’s especially meaningful to join forces with the most iconic name in the outdoor world,” said Hard Eight co-owner Chad Decker.
