Things are about to get spooky ‘round here when Revitalize Dublin hosts “Doublin’ Your Nightmares,” a community haunted house bringing scares, screams and Halloween fun to Dublin this October.

The haunted house will be open at 8 p.m. every Saturday night leading up to Halloween - on Oct. 10, 17, 24 and 31 - at the barn on the Harris Ranch, located at 1029 County Road 304 in Dublin.

There will also be a special Friday night opening on Oct. 30.

Admission is $15 per person, and concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Proceeds from the haunted house will benefit Revitalize Dublin, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to beautifying and improving the Dublin community.

“Everything we raise through this event ultimately comes back to Dublin,” said Carmen Andersen, president of Revitalize Dublin.

“Our organization exists to make a visible difference in our community, and the tremendous response to our homeowner grant program shows us there is a real need.

“The more support we receive, the more we can give back.”

For Lori Beggs, vice president of Revitalize Dublin, the haunted house is an opportunity to bring something new and memorable to the community.

“We wanted to think outside the box and create a fundraiser people would actually be excited to attend,” Beggs said.

“Yes, we want to scare you — and we plan to do a pretty good job of it — but every scream and every ticket sold helps us continue doing good things for Dublin.

“Come have fun, get scared and know that your admission is helping your community at the same time.”

Tarleton State University Night is Saturday, Oct. 17, with students receiving half-price admission with a valid student ID.
