From prosecuting criminals to defending them; this new local attorney has an interesting story.

Lisa Marton is a young woman with a passion for helping others.
And it’s that trait that led her to Stephenville where she joined The Law Offices of Brady Pendleton.
“I’m a strong believer in Martin Luther King’s idea that ‘Life’s persistent and most urgent question is, what are you doing for others?’” Marton told Beneath the Surface News.
Marton said she dreamed of becoming an attorney after developing a unique relationship with the assistant district attorney that prosecuted her brother’s murder case.
After graduating from Baylor University with a degree in business administration in 2014, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School in 2018.
A short time later, she began prosecuting felony cases as an assistant district attorney, before switching to criminal defense and various areas of civil law.
