Dude loves toys, tug-of-war and is always ready for fun; he just needs to find the right home.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Dude, an energetic pup who stays true to his breed mix and will thrive in an active home that can help him burn energy through play, exercise and adventure.
“He absolutely loves toys, especially a good game of tug-of-war and is always ready for fun,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He enjoys meeting new people and does well riding in the car, making him a great companion for outings and adventures.”Dude is not good with other dogs or children, so he will need to be the only pet in a home without kids.
He has not been around livestock, so his behavior with livestock is unknown.
Dude is also still learning his manners and will need obedience training, structure and guidance to help him become the best companion he can be.Dude is not potty trained and will need consistent house training and supervision.
He also has a chewing habit and will need appropriate toys and plenty of positive outlets for his energy.
“He tends to get into things when left unattended, so a home that can provide supervision, exercise and enrichment will be important,” Serena said.
“He does not do well when left alone, can be quite vocal at times and isn't a fan of bath time. Patience, consistency and positive reinforcement will go a long way as he adjusts to his new home.
”Dude is looking for an experienced adopter who is willing to put in the time and training he needs.
In return, you'll have an energetic, playful companion who is always up for an adventure
Dude is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.
Willow is a sweet kitten that arrived at the shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed.
Now this sweet girl is looking for a loving forever home where she can feel safe and loved.
“Willow is a little on the shy side at first, but with some gentle talking and soft pets, she begins to warm up and show her sweet personality,” Serena said.

“She's even starting to find her voice and will quietly talk back to you when you speak to her. It's the sweetest little conversation."
Willow is also a tidy girl who does a great job keeping her kennel clean.
She would love a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to come out of her shell.
Willow is spayed, partially vaccinated and pending a microchip.
