Dog with heart-shaped nose and energetic kitty that loves to play are this week’s featured pets.

Lucy

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Lucy, a 10-month-old female American Bulldog mix with a heart-shaped nose.

“She is very shy and nervous, but approaches everyone with a wagging tail,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She will want to curl up in your lap and hide.”

Lucy has a tendency to “fear tinkle” when someone approaches her, so she would do best in a quiet home.

“She will need some time and patience before she feels secure,” Serena said.

Lucy is allergic to poultry and is on a special diet.

She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and heart worm negative. Hunter is a two-year-old male Domestic Longhair.

“He is an energetic boy that loves to play and run around,” Serena said. “He does OK with dogs and other cats as long as they are introduced slowly.”

Hunter

Hunter does not like to be held, but likes to sit in your lap if it’s his idea. He loves attention, but is not good with children.

He is also litter box trained, neutered and microchipped and is an inside-only cat.

If you would like to meet Lucy, Hunter or the other 75 dogs and 38 cats that need homes, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
