Dog that loves people and cat that likes water are this week’s featured pets.
This week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society include Rosco, a male one to two-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix.
“He absolutely loves his people and is good with children, but is not good with other dogs or cats,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
Rosco is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash, but needs a secure fence to keep him contained.
“He needs some training with an experienced owner,” Serena said. “He needs to be in a crate when left alone because he gets bored and will chew on stuff.”
Rosco is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heart worm negative.
Bif is a one to two-year-old male domestic shorthair.
"He is a very friendly guy that would make someone a great house cat,” Serena said. “He is super friendly towards people and other cats and loves to cuddle.”
Bif is playful, likes water and would benefit from having lots of room to play.
He is also microchipped and litter box trained.
If you would like to meet Rosco, Bif or the other 69 dogs and 53 cats that need new homes, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
