Congratulations to Judge Campos after being elected to serve on executive board of NCTCOG.
Erath County Judge Alfonso Campos has been elected to serve on the North Central Texas Council of Governments executive board, which consists of 17 locally-elected officials and one member of the Texas Legislature.
“I am honored and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to work with the county judges, mayors and other leaders of the organizations that make up the North Central Texas Council of Governments,” Alfonso told Beneath the Surface News.
NCTCOG serves a 16-county region in North Central Texas, including over 230-member governments, numerous cities, school districts and special districts.
It assists local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit and coordinating for sound regional development.
The Council monitors grant programs for many services including senior services, such as Meals on Wheels; employment enhancing (skills and job fairs) partnerships with colleges; child care services for both providers and parents; and victim assistance services.
Campos began his first term as Erath County judge in January 2019.
He is a graduate of Huckabay High School and Tarleton State University.
