City officials to rename Stephenville Fire Station after longtime chief Jimmy Chew.



The Stephenville City Council quietly passed a resolution last week to rename its newest fire station after longtime fire chief Jimmy Chew.


The announcement was made public during a retirement celebration for Chew on Friday at City Hall at City Limits.

Fire Station 2 will become Jimmy D. Chew Fire Station and a plaque will be erected recognizing Chew’s more than 50 years of service to the community.
