Cigar, wine and steak pairing at Bull Lion Ranch & Winery benefits Erath County Child Welfare Board.

A new event coming to Bull Lion Ranch & Winery will benefit an important local organization – the Erath County Child Welfare Board.

A cigar, wine and steak pairing will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at Bull Lion located near Chalk Mountain.

Manager Deborah May told Beneath the Surface News that the winery wanted to host a unique event to raise money for the child welfare board.

Only 50 tickets will be sold to the dinner, which includes a 45-day aged ribeye steak from Thompson’s Custom Meats in Dublin, salad, scalloped potatoes, asparagus and cheesecake paired with two cigars and two glasses of wine.

“Lance Battenfield from Lingleville Country Store will give a talk about the cigars and the owner of Bull Lion, Chuck Tordiglione, will talk about the wine,” Deborah said.

Tickets are $100 each.

Tables of six are available for $550 and tables of four are $350.

There will also be a live auction with items like handmade wooden chairs, a planter box made from a wine barrel and concert tickets.
