Is there any better combo than chocolate and cherries?
This recipe combines the two for a perfectly delicious cookie.
WHAT YOU NEED
2 1/2 cups flour
¼ tsp salt
1 cup softened butter
¾ cup white sugar
1-2 tbs cherry juice from jar
1 tsp vanilla
½ c chopped cherries (from jar)
½ mini chocolate chips
HOW TO MAKE THEM
Place butter and sugar in mixer and let whisk until light and fluffy.
In separate bowl, combine flour and salt; add cherry juice and vanilla to butter mixture.
Slowly add flour mixture and once everything has come together, add cherries and chocolate chips.
Let dough refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes.
Roll into small balls and place on parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes, until cookie is slightly golden around the edges.
Let cool before transferring to a serving plate.
If you are a chocolate lover you can add a Hershey’s kiss to the middle of the cookie or make a chocolate glaze to drizzle on top!
