Is there any better combo than chocolate and cherries?
Â
This recipe combines the two for a perfectly delicious cookie.
Â
Â
WHAT YOU NEED
Â
2 1/2 cups flourÂ
Â
¼ tsp salt
Â
1 cup softened butter
Â
¾ cup white sugar
Â
Â
1-2 tbs cherry juice from jar
Â
1 tsp vanillaÂ
Â
½ c chopped cherries (from jar)
Â
½ mini chocolate chipsÂ
Â
HOW TO MAKE THEM
Â
Place butter and sugar in mixer and let whisk until light and fluffy.
Â
In separate bowl, combine flour and salt; add cherry juice and vanilla to butter mixture.
Â
Slowly add flour mixture and once everything has come together, add cherries and chocolate chips.Â
Â
Let dough refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes.
Â
Â
Roll into small balls and place on parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
Â
Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes, until cookie is slightly golden around the edges.
Â
Let cool before transferring to a serving plate.
Â
If you are a chocolate lover you can add a Hershey’s kiss to the middle of the cookie or make a chocolate glaze to drizzle on top!Â
