Carnival, hot air balloon rides and mutton bustin' is all happening at Stephenville’s Moo-La Fest!

A host of new fun has been added to this year’s Moo-La Fest happening June 2-3 at Stephenville City Park.


The amazing Carnival Americana will be back, opening from Thursday, June 1, through Sunday, June 4.

Tickets are $1 (each ride requires 3-5 tickets) or you can purchase an all-access armband for $30.


More space has been added to the carnival grounds this year and that means more games and more rides!


TETHERED HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES


For those who want to experience the thrill of flying, Uplifting Adventures LLC will provide tethered balloon rides from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, and 6-10 a.m. and 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, (weather permitting).


Tickets are $30 each.

MUTTON BUSTIN’


Little cowboys and cowgirls between the ages of four and eight years old, can take part in Bah Ram You Mutton Bustin’ beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday.

AX THROWING, FUN RUN AND SHADE


Michaela Bierman, director of the city’s Tourism and Visitor’s Bureau, told Beneath the Surface News that one of the biggest things the city has added this year is shade.

“We will have a giant tent set up and that’s where cornhole, ax throwing and mini golf will be held,” Michaela said


And don’t forget about Moo-ve It, the 5K, 10K and one-mile fun run happening on Saturday.


Runners competing in the 10K will start at 8 a.m.; walkers/runners in the 5K will start at 8:15 and the one-mile fun run (strollers welcome) begins at 8:30.

Early registration is over, but you can still sign up on race day for $30.

Mark those calendars for the first weekend in June when a ton of fun is going down in Stephenville.
