Canines & Coffee to raise money to build new animal shelter; event to feature famous TikTok-er.

The Erath County Humane Society is taking another leap forward in its efforts to raise money for a new facility.
Canines & Coffee will take place from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
The event will feature famous TikTok-er Nick Luciano and his dogs Bullet and Maverick, both adopted from the shelter, as well as vendors selling food, coffee, ice cream, cotton candy, freshly-squeezed lemonade and leather goods.
There will even be live music.
“We encourage folks to bring their dogs,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “This event is to raise money for our new shelter and we will have plans for people to view.”
There will also be adoption specials for kittens, cats, puppies and dogs, nail trimming for canines and $10 microchipping.
Kids can enjoy bounce house, face painting, temporary tattoos and games with a chance to win prizes.
