Stephenville city secretary Staci King has become a certified municipal clerk by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
King completed the extensive program requirements, which included a combination of job experience and over 300 hours of training and continuing education.
There are currently 132 active CMCs in the state of Texas and fewer than 5,000 worldwide.
“The city of Stephenville takes great pride in King’s dedication to her continuing education, as well as her dedication to our municipality,” Stephenville Mayor Doug Svien said.
King also completed her first recertification as a Texas registered municipal clerk this month, which consists of 72 hours of continuing education along with other required professional development curriculum.
