Artist who wrote the Dixie Chicks’ biggest hit is playing in Stephenville on Sunday.
With the extreme heat behind us, there’s no excuse not to get out of the house to enjoy an afternoon of great music.
On Sunday, you’ll get the chance when Pickers and Poets takes place from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Chapel on the Bosque on the grounds of the Stephenville Historical House Museum.
This month’s show will feature Susan Gibson and Craig Clifford.
There is no cover charge and snacks and refreshments, including craft beer from the Thirsty Armadillos brew club, will be provided.
"Everyone knows Susan because she wrote 'Wide Open Spaces,' the Dixie Chicks’ biggest hit, but she has a whole catalog of finely crafted songs,” Craig told Beneath the Surface News. “And she's a great performer."
Remaining shows this season include Shake Russell on Nov. 12 and Mandy Rowden on Dec. 3.
