Adopt a Teddy: These high school seniors are hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic and need your help.

Stephenville High School seniors taking part in the health science program are hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic in January for approximately 280 kindergarteners at Central Elementary.

“These seniors are pursuing careers in the healthcare field and have been enrolled in health science classes for the last three years,” Jody Fain, an LVN who teaches the class, told Beneath the Surface News.

We are holding a Teddy Bear Clinic to give kindergartners the opportunity to rotate through health and wellness stations where our health science seniors will teach them about vital signs, X-rays and healthy eating habits while demonstrating on the bears.”

At the conclusion of the event, the students will get to keep their teddy bear and receive a Wellness Certificate.

The students need to collect 280 teddy bears for the program and businesses and individuals are invited to "Adopt a Teddy" to help raise money to purchase them.

The donor’s name will be added to the certificate to show who adopted the teddy bear.
