Add a little spice to your life – and wings - with this homemade sauce.

By SHAWN STONE

I've always liked chicken wings, especially buffalo style.

I played with different recipes to make my own buffalo sauce as opposed to store bought, and tweaked it enough so that I'm pretty happy with it.

Sometimes I grill the wings, but most of the time I like them deep fried so the skin gets nice and crispy.

WHAT’S IN THE SAUCE

1 1/3 cup cayenne pepper sauce

1/2 cup unsalted butter

3 tbs. white vinegar

1/2 tsp Worcestershire

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. paprika

Salt to taste

HOW TO MAKE IT

Add all ingredients to a medium sauce pan. Bring to a simmer and whisk occasionally.

Once butter is melted, remove from heat and cool.

After you have cooked the wings, combine the wings and sauce in a large bowl and toss until the wings are completely covered.

I like to add a little Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning to give it that Cajun kick!

Slap Ya Mama brand is great too, but use it sparingly.

Enjoy!
