A sweet pup and shy cat are this week’s featured pets. (And they are beauties.)

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Overhill, a five-month-old female Lab/Hound mix.
“She is a very sweet girl that adores attention,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She plays wonderfully with other dogs and does pretty well on a leash for a beginner.
"Overhill is a little timid when you first meet her, but she gets over that quickly.”
Anyone considering adopting needs to remember she is a puppy and will have puppy behaviors such as chewing on things and using the potty inside.
Overhill is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.
Savannah-the-cat is a sweet girl that loves lots to received pets.
“She is still a little shy and will need some patience,” Serena said.
