Companion Senior Care and Wings Over Texas Hospice are partnering to host monthly events to educate the public on a variety of healthcare-related topics.

The first event will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, at the Cross Timbers Legacy Center in Stephenville.

The event will begin with an hour-long game of Bingo followed by lunch and a discussion about healthcare benefits for veterans led by Brittany Hamilton with Texas Veterans Hope Network.

“Our first event will discuss health care benefits for veterans and why it’s important for them to begin accessing those as soon as they exit the military,” Rozina Pittman, the veteran’s liaison for Companion Senior Care, told Beneath the Surface News.

“We meet people every day who are in crisis mode and unaware of what options are available to them. We want to educate people on how hospice works because it’s not what it used to be, insurance and how to make a care plan before it’s needed.”

The event is free and open to everyone in the community.

If you would like to submit a question before the May 14 event, email rozina@companioninhomeseniorcare.com or selrod@wotxhospice.com.
