Something exciting is coming in place of where the old senior citizens center was once located on College Street in Stephenville.

Maynard Property Investment is developing Project 1885 - a 5,072 square foot, two-story structure – aimed at revitalizing downtown Stephenville.

(The name, by the way, comes from when the original building was constructed.)

“I am the listing agent on the lease space and we are looking for a first-floor tenant,” Tristan Maynard told Beneath the Surface News.

“We want something that is vibrant and breathes new life into the square.”

The first floor space includes 2,472 square feet with access to a covered back patio.

The upstairs will include two units (one two-bedroom, one one-bedroom) that will be rented for short-term living along with a deck and covered seating area.

The building is expected to be complete in April and Maynard hopes to have a first-floor tenant in place by the end of February.

The company is currently accepting letters of intent.

The second part of the project will include a 40-room boutique hotel with a rooftop deck and restaurant that will adjoin the east side of Project 1885.

Tenants interested in leasing the space can email tristanmaynard@kw.com or call 817-995-6983.

Maynard Property Investment is a North Texas-based, family-owned development company.
