A friendly pup and kitten that likes to hide are this week’s featured pets.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Beluga, a one-year-old female Shepherd Pit mix.

“She is a very sweet girl that loves being outside,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She is good with other dogs, children and strangers, but is not good with chickens.

“She isn't crate or house trained because she has been an outside dog. She needs to be separated from other dogs while eating, but does well on a leash and riding in a car.”

Beluga is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heart worm negative.

Ohuhu is a one-year-old female domestic shorthair.

“She is a little on the shy side and tends to hide when meeting new people,” Serena said. “When she warms up and feels comfortable, she loves attention.”

Ohuhu is cat friendly, spayed, fully vaccinated, litter box trained and microchipped.

Stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville to meet Beluga, Ohuhu and the other 76 dogs and 53 cats that need new homes.
