This week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society include Dolly, a four-year-old female American Staffordshire Terrier.

“She is a very sweet girl that can be a little standoffish when meeting new people,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “Once she warms up to you, she loves to lean up against you while you pet her.”

Because of her nub tail, Dolly’s entire backend wags when she is happy.

Dolly is housebroken, but has some anxiety when she’s left alone. She will also need a sturdy fence.

“She is very strong and will need someone who can handle her,” Serena said.

Dolly has had her DHPP and Bordetella and is microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. Trail Mix is a one-year-old female Domestic Shorthair.

“She is very people-friendly,” Serena said.
