I know, I know. Mother’s Day snuck up on you. It did me too.

The days all run together with this quarantine thing and now you need a way to make your mom’s big day a special one.

(By the way, Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10.)

To help you pull it off, I reached out to several of my favorite local business owners offering special savings on products and services.

Here is a list of great Mother’s Day gifts you can purchase in Stephenville.

Remember, shopping local is more important than ever these days.

1. GET MOM A FACIAL

The one thing your mom really needs is a day of pampering.

And while salons still aren’t open, Donice Darby, owner of Complexions by Donice, can help.

Donice is selling do-it-yourself facial kits that will give mom that happy glow we all long for.

Regular kits are $12 or you can splurge on the deluxe for $17, which includes eye cream and serum.

The kits can be picked up or delivered to your front door packaged in a cute bag that includes a gift card.

And, of course, you can always buy a gift certificate for later.

Place your order by calling or texting 254-592-7243 or message Complexions by Donice on Facebook.

2. TAKE A FAMILY PHOTO

My kids always tell me that I take too many pictures. But every mom knows there is no such thing.

That’s why buying her a family photo shoot is another perfect way to show mom how much you love her.

Local photographer Sara Battenfield with Southern Grace Photography is offering 20% of all gift cards over $100 through May.

The gift cards never expire and can be used for any type of session.

Message Sara on Facebook at Southern Grace Photos or visit Southern Grace Photography on squareup.com.

3. THE FRAGRANCE FLOWER

Local Scentsy distributor Stef King Swindell understands that every mom enjoys things that smell good, which is why The Fragrance Flower is another perfect gift.

It’s one of Scentsy’s newest products that releases scent for up to 60 days.

The flowers are all handcrafted so no two are exactly alike.

They come in scents like Aloe and Cucumber, Go Go Mango, Pink Cotton, Sea Salt and Avocado and Amazon Rain.

And the best part? They are only $18.

Place an order directly with Stef by emailing her at vegemommy@yahoo.com or on her website at yummy.scentsy.us.

4. CELEBRATE WITH WINE

If your mom is a wine-lover, give her a gift she will love from Erath County’s very own winery.

Lucky Vines Vineyard and Winery is putting together a Mother’s Day gift bag that includes a bottle of wine, T-shirt that says, “Momma needs wine,” and certificate for a tasting.

Prices range from $45 - $60 depending on the wine you choose.

The bags can be delivered via UPS for $10, sent as a gift in email form or picked up at the winery.

Place an order at Luckyvines.com or call 254-335-0099.

5. ORDER FRESH FLOWERS

It’s hard to find anything more exquisite than flower arrangements by the iconic Scott’s Flowers on The Square.

Owner James Kimbel said Scott’s Flowers will be operating in a limited capacity this year, and placing orders early is key.

“I expect a nice number of orders given the healing qualities of fresh arrangements and the unique way they can express feelings when given as a gift,” Kimbel said.

Orders can be made online at stephenvillescottsflowers.com.

6. WOW HER WITH A GIFT BASKET

Frames Etc. is putting together custom gift baskets perfect for any budget.

Simply go to their website, choose the basket and the items you want inside, and voila, it can even be delivered to your doorstep.

You can also stop by the store to order.
