Soccer fans have been vying for tickets and anxiously awaiting the start of the World Cup 2026 for months, and now it’s finally here.

The global event begins tonight (Thursday) with matchups between Mexico and South Africa followed by Korea Republic and Czechia.

You can watch the World Cup matches in the comfort of your home on FOX, FS1, Fox One and Tubi, but if you’d rather gather with friends at a local hangout spot in Stephenville, here’s where to go.

Bull Nettle, Stephenville’s No. 1 sports bar, will play all the games that are on during business hours.

There is daily happy hour and nightly drink specials.

If a sizzling plate of fajitas, side of guac and margarita is what you need to enjoy the big matches, head to El Corral for all-day happy hour specials on game days.

Both locations have a full bar and several televisions visible in the bar and dining room.

Newton’s Saddlerack will also have the big games playing.

And to kick off the exciting event, Newton’s is unveiling its new bar menu tonight!

The World Cup tournament spans 39 days, so pace yourselves.

Or don’t.

ESPN has the full schedule of matches here.
