We know you’re not lazy, but you are going to love this recipe for ‘lazy lasagna.’



You don’t have to be Lazy Bones Jones to enjoy a recipe that’s tasty, healthy and easy to make, which is why I know you and your family will love “lazy lasagna.”


Don’t be intimidated by this list of ingredients; most of it you already have in the pantry and it’s super simple to make!


This recipe makes nine servings.

WHAT’S IN IT


25 ounces lean ground beef


4 cups Rao’s marinara


2 tsp oregano


3 tsp garlic powder


2 tsp onion powder


4 tbsp reduced fat parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp salt


3 tsp Italian seasoning


1 cup spinach


3 cups 1% cottage cheese


2 eggs, beaten


1 1/3 cups reduced fat mozzarella

HOW TO MAKE IT


Brown ground beef with 1 tsp oregano, 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder and 1/2 tsp salt; set aside and cook spinach in pan drippings until tender.


Place spinach in separate bowl and add meat back to pan along with Rao's marinara, 1 tsp oregano, 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp onion powder.

In a separate bowl, mix eggs, cottage cheese and parmesan cheese with 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning.


Layer in a baking dish: Meat sauce, cottage cheese mixture, mozzarella and top with the cooked spinach and remaining mozzarella cheese.


Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
