Wanna be in the city’s Fourth of July parade? The deadline to register is getting close.

Residents of Stephenville have kicked off their July 4th celebrations with the city’s annual parade for as long as I can remember.

Everything from floats, horses, gymnasts and dancers to a variety of local businesses and organizations take part in the festive event, and if you want to enter, there’s still a little time.

The deadline to register is Thursday, June 30.

The parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 4, at the south entrance of Stephenville City Park.

It will then move north on Graham, west on Belknap, west again on Washington Street and end at the intersection of Harbin and Washington streets.

Make plans now to gather your family and friends for the day-long celebration.

I’ll have all the details on that in the coming days.
