Two Lingleville educators honored as April’s ‘Hometown Hero.’

Some decisions are just impossible to make, which is why April’s “Hometown Hero” award was given to two local educators instead of just one.

"There were several great teachers nominated in April,” Farmers Insurance agent Leslie Walker told Beneath the Surface News. “There were so many with great stories that the committee had a hard time choosing, so we chose two educators to honor – and they both happen to teach in Lingleville.”

Suzie Wallace is a middle school math teacher who has been educating children for 24 years.

“She goes above and beyond in helping her students understand and develop a love for learning,” Leslie said.

John Barnes has been a coach and teacher for 10 years. Prior to that he and his family were missionaries in Haiti.

Congratulation to both of these educators who received a gift basket and plaque.
