Tickets on sale for Cross Timbers Got Talent benefiting women’s shelter. Meet this year’s judges.



Restoration Place, an Erath County shelter for women and children fleeing domestic abuse, is gearing up for its second annual talent show happening at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, at City Hall at City Limits in Stephenville.

Cross Timbers Got Talent is an America’s Got Talent-style event that will feature 13 acts.

This year’s judges include Jacob Humphries (a vocalist and last year's 1st place winner), Ryan Hamilton (artist and record producer),Jay Mills (Erath County business owner) and JJ Hampton (rodeo champion and local real estate agent).

“We will have some amazing live auction items, upscale concessions and a chance for audience members to choose a People's Choice winner,” Restoration Place board member Kim Lewallen told Beneath the Surface News. “We will also hear from Marsy Hollander, a survivor of domestic abuse who has written a book about her story.”

General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.

Restoration Advocates operates two shelters in Erath County for women fleeing domestic abuse.


Proceeds from the event will be used to keep the women safe and help them become independent and self sufficient.
